Instapay E-Wallet & Prepaid Mastercard FAQ
Instapay is a digital E-Wallet that comes with a physical Prepaid Mastercard. The E-Wallet allows you to receive and manage funds through the mobile app.With the Instapay Mastercard you can withdraw cash at ATMs and do shopping locally and internationally.

The Instapay wallet limit is RM10,000.

Yes, you can tap to pay up to RM250 without a PIN. For transactions above RM250, your PIN is required. This limit is applicable within Malaysia only.
You can register Instapay in 4 simple steps
- Step 1 : Download app on your mobile phone
- Step 2 : Do Self registration with valid identity document
- Step 3 : Instapay will call you for fix an appointment
- Step 4 : Instapay will visit you to validate document & deliver card
You can register if you are aged 18 and above with a Malaysia-registered phone number and local residential address.
You need a valid ID document (eg. passport / NRIC) for registration
Instapay is a licensed e-money issuer by Bank Negara Malaysia and your funds are held in a Public Bank trust account managed by PB Trustee Sdn Bhd (“Trust Account”) at all times. We are fully compliant with all regulatory requirements applicable to financial service providers.
- Login requires a secure password
- Transactions require a personal PIN
- Your ATM card, international transactions, and contactless payments are locked by default — unlock them anytime via the Instapay app.
- Access is limited to your registered mobile device
- Use a strong password — at least 8 characters, but ideally 14 or more.
- Keep your User ID, password, OTP, M-PIN, and card details secure and private.
- Never share personal information with anyone.
- Monitor your Instapay account on a weekly basis
- Report any suspicious activity or unauthorized access immediately to our customer service team.
- Lock your card instantly through the Instapay app for added security.
- Report the loss immediately to our customer service team.
You can update your mobile number directly through the Instapay app. If you face any issues, feel free to reach out to our customer service team for further assistance.
You can contact our customer service team for a card replacement. A new card will be couriered to you. For charges on the card replacement, please refer to fees & charges.
